Building a sentence

Write a simple sentence with a capital letter, finger spaces, and a full stop — and join two ideas together with 'and'.

💡Understand

A sentence always starts with a CAPITAL letter and ends with a full stop. We leave a finger space between each word so it's easy to read. If we want to add another idea, we can join it with the word 'and'.

“The dog ran and barked.”

This sentence starts with a capital 'T', has finger spaces between every word, ends with a full stop, and uses 'and' to join two things the dog did (ran, barked).
